I'm a Front End Developer and Software Engineer

"I am a St. Olaf graduate with a BA in Computer Science currently looking for new opportunities. I have always had in deep interest in technology which has developed into me becoming an avid programmer seeking to leverage skills as a Software Developer/Front-End Developer. Through my studies at St. Olaf College I have developed a deep reverence for object-oriented programming and strong design practices. I have developed these while maintaining a long history of being a meticulous problem solver and analyzer.

I have also taken great care to develop strong interpersonal skills and a deep well of patience while dealing with my Asperger's Syndrome. I developed my deep well of patience initially when dealing with myself as I had to constantly struggle to pick up on social cues and connect with people. Over time, I have gotten much better at this although I still somewhat struggle in new environs. "

Convolutional Neural Network

  • Worked within a team of three to build an AI with a frontend app
  • Helped build the initial model for the CNN
  • Built the frontend app to take a picture and send it to the AI
  • Worked alongside other teams with similar projects to increase the quality the product for everyone

Lord of the Rings Text Generator

  • Built a Recursive Neural Network(RNN) to generate a text based on Lord of the Rings
  • The RNN analyzes the text for word usage and patterns
  • The RNN then uses that data alongside a starting phrase to create text based on the most likely character to appear next
  • Built by myself for fun

Prolog to Eliza

  • Recreated the Eliza virtual therapist AI using a logical programming language called Prolog
  • The precursor-AI uses operates as a chatbot while analyzing the responses to its questions for keywords
  • The AI analyzed the response character by character using spaces and ignoring punctuation to determine if and when characters form a keyword
  • The AI then checks a library of potential keywords and choosing a randomized response based on those keywords or a set response if no keywords were found

Hamming Translator

  • Created code that encodes a given string into hamming code
  • The program uses a parity string to encode and decode the string
  • The code allows you to decode the hamming string and check for errors as well

Elm Brook Farm Distillery - Software Developer

  • Design and maintain system of sensors to control temperature and pressure during the distillation process
  • Create server to recieve data and sent to an application for remote data monitoring and system control
  • Develop application to display data to the user in graph form

Bon Appetit - Server/Customer Service

  • Served 2000 people per shift at St. Olaf Cafeteria; provided eficient constumer service and clean, efficient environment
  • Worked on dealing with the social interaction aspect of my Asperger's Syndrome(Personal Goal)

FedEx Corperation - Truck Loader

  • Efficiently loaded trucks, moving boxes and crates into trailers, filling 3-5 trucks per 4-hour shift
  • Collaberated with team members to maintain effective workflow and meet productivity standards

Sears - Electronic Sales Team Member

  • Developed sales skills and knowledge of technical products to better serve customers and meet productivity standards
